Over the last two decades SAMS has successfully completed a range of large national research projects as well as several boutique ventures. In recent years SAMS has been commissioned by Government Departments (i.e. Department of Labour, Ministry of Social Development and Ministry of Health) to research the effectiveness of different programmes, the implementation of new policy and “change over time”. In addition to this, SAMS research has also included projects that examine the effectiveness of evaluation methods, the roles of service users and family as evaluators and the impact of different funding models. SAMS will undertake research projects that have the real potential of providing information that will enable evidence based policy development, inform sector development and assist organisations to be strategic. SAMS strongly favors participatory research models and approaches that offer the real possibility for positive change. |
